CLIENT REVIEWS

“Our purchase was probably the smoothest real estate transaction we’ve ever been involved with and Scott was a huge part of that. I would highly recommend him.”

THE DELUSION OF SELF-SERVICE SATISFACTION

April 28, 2024

I’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of service lately; the standard definition of which describes an experience increasingly elusive. The notion of someone offering their help and assistance, whether as a part of their job or as an act of kindness, has become so rare in fact, when it does appear, we sometimes have difficulty recognizing and trusting its motive.

ASPEN REAL ESTATE MARKET IS ACCELERATING THROUGH ABUNDANCE

August 29, 2021

Safe to say the 1% of the 1% have been very active and are having a huge impact on our local economy. Easy to overlook the “median” buyers in the Aspen market where the average price of a home has risen 36% year-to-date. The average price of an Aspen home is now well over $13M when just last year you could have scored the same house for about nine and a half. When I got into the business in 2005, that number was $2M and a home on Red Mountain averaged $1,000 square foot.

LEANING INTO ‘PSEUDO NORMALCY’

July 25, 2021

Yes, what a summer it’s been and continues to be! But as a witness to all of it from the front lines, I find it noteworthy how much effort we are exerting to return to normal when frankly the conversation should be how we lean into the reality of the age in which we are living, be honest about what happened and acknowledge what we’re seeing all around us now.

The sooner we recognize this new frontier for what it is, both a challenge and an opportunity, can we truly get on with our lives, and concentrate on what really matters.

INFLUX HAS ASPEN BACK TO ITS EXTREMES

June 27, 2021

In some ways, the Aspen dream has morphed to the Aspen extreme. Offseason seems a thing of the past, monsoons have yielded to wildfires, gridlock at the traffic circle extending to the airport and the old-guard on a collision course with the nouveau venu. COVID seems under control around these parts but the fatigue is palpable and hard to shake.
